It is possible to be happy and joyful most of the time.

You just have to look at little children and see their natural joy
. You may say that little children are free and don't have anything to worry about, but do so are you.

We all have stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances but we just have to deal with them the best we can.

You are free to choose worry or to choose joy. You are free to let stresses get in the way of what is most important; Love or let Love and Joy into yourlife. You do not have to wait til New Yeras Eve- You can do it now.

St. Stephen's Day

”And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:” (Acts 6:5)

Stephen the first matyr of Christianaty, was accused of blaphemy.

At his trial he made a long speech fiercely denouncing the Jewish authorities who were sitting in judgement on him and was stoned to death.

”And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Acts 7:59

Our Prophet Joseph Smith’s life follows the pattern Stephen. A few days after experiencing the First Vision in 1820, Joseph shared his experience and bore personal testimony of God The Father and His Beloved Son. During the next 24 years, nearly 20 attempts were made on Joseph’s life. The path to martyrdom walked by Joseph Smith and ancient prophets is the same path walked by Him who said, “Come, follow me.”

I can understand people who ”hates” persones trying to share the Gospel. I´ve heard that we Mormons are not nice in the bottom of our hearts, that we can´t be good friends for a good friends sake and all we wan´t to do is sharing the gospel.

Well it´s a sad way of thinking. But I can understand it.

Christmas

Some people are looking for love in all the wrong places and trying to find out who they are, It is okay. Step by step my friends.

This Christmas are homeless and lonley people even in Helsinki. I am getting to know theese people at the Christmas table we are having. Christmas ham... roast turkey and salmon...

For most of us the festive period is a time to relax and enjoy being with our families, but for hundreds of thousands of people around the country Christmas merely underlines an uncertain future. With no permanent home, how can homeless people plan the rest of their lives? Yeah. By seeing charity and Love in the right places...

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

This X-mas I am giving Turkey and teaching how to fish..

I know there is hope.

I don’t know you. Or maybe I do. I know my friend who is sleeping in my bedroom. I know the feeling to have no one understand what you’re going through. I know how it feels to want to be left alone and yearn for someone to reach out and help you. I have been there. I have done that.

I do know how it feels to fall to your knees and beg The Lord to free you from the terrible loneliness of the darkness in your mind.

But I also know a few other things; ; I know there is hope.

Just as night is defeated by the dawn, or as the winter is conquered by the spring, or as the darkness is dominated by any degree of light, I know that you can make it through this. You are going to be a better person as a result of your depression. If you move forward while holding onto the knowledge that the sun will rise in your soul, I assure you that one day, you will stand at the summit of a figurative mountain and look back on your life’s journey. I have done that. I have been there.

To all who are struggling with depression: you are not alone. We are all on this journey together. I promise you that there is hope. Let us reach out to one another and walk together

Only the Lord knows all the details, and he it is who will judge our actions here on earth.

”And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have becom free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.” ( 2: Nephi 2: 26)

What would you do?

If a person is drowning what would you do?; Ask him if he needs help or enter the water and rescue him? Sometimes, while well meaning , the offer: “Let me know if I can help” is really no help at all.
I have been thinking about how this can relate to the Christmas spirit and how I can reach out to those in trouble or distress, wherever they may be.
What I found out is that it doesn´t have to be that hard and most likely are the small things we are doing for each others of the greatest value.

I remember one of the best Christmas presents ever given to me. It was 20 years ago and I was, due to certain circumstances, about to spend the Holiday alone. I was pretty sure that I could cope with the idea of enjoying my own company on Christmas and told myself that it´s just another day and a day I could spend just the way I like. Sleeping in, taking a walk, rent a bad movie... Then when Christmas eve came I couldn't help feeling blue thinking about festive meetings and good wishes. And so it happened that a friend called me and asked if I wanted to join him when he was going to his mother to wish her a Happy Christmas. I had never met his mom before and at first I thought it could me a little bit awkward, me showing up on a family meeting. But I joined my friend and even if I just spend a couple of hours at his mothers place it made my Christmas. His mom was really warm hear ted and the gift from my friend was just that he was thinking of me being alone at Christmas.

Sometimes it is easy to have a present centered Christmas and not even remember the true reasoning behind the holidays. This year I will walk a friends dog, tomorrow I will help another friend to move and if someone is feeling lonely I will chat with them on fb, give a call or invite them to my place. The Christmas season is a time to reflect and act upon the blessings and opportunities we have and every gift given with Love is a good gift whether it is something you have bought, something you have made or an act of Love by helping in a concrete way.

And helping a brother or sister are usually these small things. To be there and to support. As much as you might wish you could "fix" someone or "fix" things for them, you can't do the emotional work for them. Real change starts with someone choosing to take responsibility for themselves and their problems. But you can be there as a guide and fellow, giving peace comfort and charity. The greatest gift this Christmas is if we remember to keep Christ in Christmas.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men “ (Luke 2:14)

"Because I Have Been Given Much"

The lyrics of the hymn, "Because I Have Been Given Much" was written by Grace Noll Crowell. When I got baptised in November it was the Opening Hymn at the Baptismal service.

Because I have been given much, I too must give.

Because of thy great bounty, Lord each day I live.

I shall divide my gifts from thee with every brother that I see,

who has the need of help from me.

Because I have been sheltered, fed by thy good care…

I cannot see another’s lack and I not share-

my glowing fire, my loaf of bread-my roof’s safe shelter over head,

that he too may be comforted.

Because I have been blessed by thy great love dear Lord,

I’ll share thy love again according to thy word.

I shall give love to those in need. I’ll show that love by word and deed,

thus shall my thanks be thanks indeed.

When we count our blessings and see all that God has given us, we truly feel the need to share it with others. It could be shelter, food, a helping hand. It is The Golden rule.
